Ms. Smith has interviewed countless high profile celebrities including renowned philanthropist and fashion designer Russell Simmons, actress and recording artist Naturi Naughton, John Walsh (America's Most Wanted), actor Mekhi Phifer, Michael Baisden (The Michael Baisden Show), Nia Long, legendary NFL Hall of Fame star James "Jim" Brown, R&B Sensation Eric Benet, Producer Keenen Ivory Wayans, Director Robert Townsend and many more.

          Ms. LaToya G. Ricketts is a native of the beautiful island of Jamaica and resided in Florida for over thirty years. Ms. Ricketts is a recent transplant to Houston area. Ms. Ricketts wears many professional hats and is the Vice President of Operations for Celebrityitis Magazine; a Grants Administrator; a Professor at the University of Phoenix; and the President and Owner of LGR Consulting, LLC -an Events Planning Firm. Ms. Ricketts is extremely dedicated to her responsibility of planning and organizing positive redevelopment efforts in her community. Ms. Ricketts earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Graduate Certificate in Urban & Regional Planning from Florida Atlantic University (FAU), a Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and an Associate Degree in Human Services from Palm Beach Community College.

 

        Ms. Ricketts became involved with the Celebrityitis Magazine because of a love for pop culture and personal dedication to displaying to the world positive images of Black women that mirror themselves. Ms. Ricketts lives by the Motto “It Takes A Village to Raise A Child”! Ms. Ricketts has been instrumental in advocating for the civic, social and educational needs of our community in which she serves on many boards and committees including the Miss America Pageant system as a Certified Judge ;Leadership Palm Beach County Class of 2010; Urban League Young Professionals; Girls II Women Board; National Rebuilding Together Board Member, Inc; American Cancer Society Relay for Life Committee; and the FEMA Emergency Management Operation Area Certified. Ms. Ricketts is also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  

 

         Ms. Ricketts has received several awards and accolades for her community service efforts including the Palm Beach State College’s Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Leadership Award Recipient 2009; Success South Florida Magazine 40 under 40 Most Influential Leader; Palm Beach County Golden Palm Award (County Employee’s Highest Honor);  and South Florida Sun Sentinel Special Feature for Outstanding Volunteerism. Ms. Ricketts’s peers and colleagues have often times described her as an extraordinary public servant who demonstrates an extreme passion for community service. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and traveling. Ms. Ricketts is an avid traveler who has trace the globe to 24 US States and Territories and 6 Countries across 3 Continents.

Karen D. Williams is the founder and owner of MyChoKolateKisses Makeup Artistry, a Bridal Makeup Service and All Natural Skin Essentials.  She has extensive makeup artistry experience and has worked with cosmetic lines, fashion designers, and all facets of media productions, including Sophisticate’s Black Hair Magazine, Bronner Brothers Int’l Hair Show and reality show R&B Divas. 

 

Karen is the lead instructor for The Makeup Madness Junkies #certifiedjunkie program.  She shares her skills and secrets that she used while working on film, TV, and photo shoots. She is also a certified, credentialed teacher and has received training at a beauty school in Atlanta, GA, where she instructed makeup classes for 3 years.  With this experience, she ensures that each student is getting the most professional and effective makeup training there is to offer.

 

Karen focuses her creative edge on fashion, beauty, editorial and wedding makeup; using only the best in makeup brands.  She is capable of bringing your vision to life for any memorable occasion making you look and feel. unbelievable beautiful.
